You tired to installing SharePoint 2013 on Windows 2008, but the prerequisites installer fails with the error “AppFabric installation failed because installer MSI returned with error code : 1603”.
The error 1603 is a more general error and tells very little about what needs to be fixed. If you now try to uninstall AppFabric you will get the same error message.
To solve the mess you need to open the advanced system settings on the server and then environment variables and need to add the following line to the PSMoulePath:
%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\
 So that it becomes:
C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\
After reboot the error should be solved now.
