Solving: “Outlook cannot connect to the SharePoint List…” Error HTTP 0

If a user try to open a SharePoint 2010 list via Microsoft Outlook 2010, the get a error message that his client is unable to connect to the list.

The correct error message is:

Task 'SharePoint' reported error (0x80040102) : 'Outlook cannot connect to the SharePoint List (<share name> - <listtype>). The server may not be reachable from your location. Contact the SharePoint site administrator for more information.  HTTP 0.'

This error message could be caused that the PC with the Outlook installation couldn´t access the CRL from the HTTPS certificated used on the sharepoint server.

Troubleshooting & Solution:

To check that open the sharepoint web site, and check the SSL certificate. Inside the SSL information you will find an entry for the certification revocation list (CRL). This URL must be accessible from the affected PC which shows this error message.
