Issue: During a Lync 2013 setup you created a certificate request via the Lync deployment GUI. However if you try to submit it to your internal Microsoft certification authority (MS CA) you get the error message:
Denied by Policy Module 0x80094800, The request was for a certificate template that is not supported by the Certificate Services policy.
Information: The problem is caused because no certificate template was selected or inside the GUI the friendly template name rather the short name (which didnt include spaces) was used.
Solution: Create a new certificate request via the Lync deployment GUI using the correct short template name and re-submit that to the Microsoft CA.
