Abstract: Sometimes its necessary to perform a factory reset from a HomeMatic IP device. The following steps are required.
Steps to perform a factory reset:
1.) Remove batteries from the device / remove the device from power by unplugging it
2.) Press and hold the system button on the device
3.) Put the batteries back in the device (do not release the system button during this action!) / plug the device into a power socket (do not release the system button during this action!)
4.) Wait until the system button starts flashing
5.) Keep the button pressed for 4 seconds, then release the system button (if you see a red light something went wrong)
6.) After you released the button press it again for around 4 seconds (it should glow green)
